On the western, "italian", coast of the Island has, there is a cool water enough frequently, especially in the beginning of a summer. It seemes, for a long time there is a heat, and it is time to the sea to get warm, but it is cool. One speaks, that it is because the sea-water here is cold "inside" - on depth in some meters the temperature of water is only 12 - 13 degrees because of springs from the Globe. Therefore even a small winds or the waves result in intermixing and cooling of surface water. However, it is enough 2 - 3 days of quiet weather, that the sea at shores again has got warm. Certainly, if you have arrived for one week, 2 - 3 days are almost half of your "term", but here it is possible to advise only one - to come on the Island not for one week, but for a month.

Other variant - to go on east shore. In a narrow superficial strait separating the Island from the continent, all the summer the warm sea for shure. One from the best beaches of east shore is in village Barbati. Barati lies as though at a sole of Pantokrator, the highest mountain of the Island (only 906 meters, by the way). The coastal highway here only begins to climb up in the mountains, therefore it is very easy to approach on a beach in Barbati on the car or on the byke. In parallel to beach there is a shady olive grove. In shadow of these olives, in 100 meters from a beach, one can park a car. Very conveniently. And beach is completely remarkable - the smallest stones. Even in large rifling waves the sea is completely transparent. But in this year we have detected in arbati the construction cottages, Corfuan Riviera. Now constructed only 3 or 4 cottages, but, it seems, that the cottage village will place on all grove. You can buy the cottage here also. Wonderfool place, I assure you. In Italy and in France such places for a long time are already occupied. By the way, in this grove the auto tourists, it happens, cost with tents, and not poor Russian or Chek, but Britains!
