Where are the good places to have a rest with small children for ? We answer by way of preference: in Glifada, in Agios Gordis Bay, in Barbati. Perfect beaches, in Glifada and in Agios Gordis it is sandy, and in Barbaty one is pebble beach. It is necessary truth to take into account, that on western coast the water suddenly can appear cool. One speaks, that it because in the sea on depth of some meters the water is very cold - about 12 degrees on Celcius. Therefore even a small wind or riffle can mix the water. The truth, in a middle of a summer there are enough only two days of quiet weather for the sea has got warm up to comfortable temperature. Always there is a possibility to take a car or bike and to depart on east shore - there sea is always warm.

Glifada's Beach, perhaps, is one from two best sandy beaches of Corfu Island (the second is Agios Gordis). A photo of Glifada from a mountain is the second card of Corfu (the first is a panoramic view on Paleokastritsa from Bella Vista). Two kilometers of amazing sandy beaches. In the left part of a bay is the small hotel working by the system "all is included". However the beach before hotel and part if its infrastructures are readily available. In particular near the hotel there is a charge-free parking place. If not to know about it, it is possible to drive 150 meters and to take paid parking. However, many keep cars at the road before a branch to the hotel.

On the other hand of bay it is absolutely small hotel and   a rather large "zone" consisting from two-floors villas, handed in a hire. In the peak of a season such villa can be rented by for 100 - 110 dollars per day. It seems, that is is too expensive, but there its are quite comfortable for 6 - 8 persons. "A Private sector " in Glifada is absolutely small.

In two kilometers to the north from Glifada there is a bay named Mirtiotissa. It is unique nudists's beach on the Island. Certainly, there it is not necessary to undress here quitely. There is remarkable dense sand too. For me remains not clear, why the sea here down to the last meters is quite transparent despite the riffled waves.

The road in the Mirtiotissa bay isn't asfalted. Nevertheless someone passes there by car, in particular if a car is rented. The majority prefers to keep the car or bikeê in a forest in a shadow of olives and to be passed about kilometer by foot on a road covered in some places with a five-centimetric stratum of a dust. It is possible to take pleasure in it too. Only don't forget to takea bottle of sea water on your back way to the car or bike to wash legs for. However on this "wild" beach it is possible to hire basis sunbed and umbrella and to buy some ice-cream or a bottle cooled water.
