On my gout, Benitses is the last place on the south from Corfu-Town on the east coast, where it is possible to have a rest kindly. However, all of us have different opinions submissions about trouth rest. Somebody spendhis time in Moraitika and Messongi.

In tourist's guides Benitses, small town in 10 km from Kerkira, is characterized, as "fishing village". Yes, I saw there one time two fishermen. You see, there was a time, when on a coast of the Neapolitan gulf the fishermen   had dried their fishing nets - I saw a painter of one artist from last century. Now Benitses is a nice small town, living by tourism. Generally, tourism, industrial agriculture and European Community hardly have changed the styli of life on the Island. It seems strange, that to purchase a fresh fish, it is necessary to go in Corfu-Town on the unique fish-market. It is impossible to purchase present ripened in the field tomato, because all is filled up with the rather cheap tomatoes from great tomato's pants near Tessaloniki or in Italy, which, naturally, are broken not ripened, that it was possible them to carry and to store.

It is pleasant to walk in Benitseds - along quay, but enough far from a highway one find nice small street -a continuous chain of cosy open cafes, pestaurants and shops. Стот to resemble.

If you would turn in Mountains near the "Kaiser Breadge" you will detect the "Ahilleon Palace" of Austrian Princess Elisabeth one of a few "tourist places", where, all tourists are carried. Near to Palace, by the word, the perfect restaurant with a specific site is, whence it is opened a completely magic panorama of continental Greece and quite blue gulf. And opposite to an entrance in "Ahilleo"it will detected small two-storeyed house with wine shop, maybe, by richest on the Island choice of any exotic drinks such as local liquors. If you will arrive in "Ahilleo" by "yourself", not by the excursion bus, we recommend you to go back not along a coast of the sea, but through nice village Gastouri by the roads of an internal part of Island. There all is beautiful. It is impossible to lose the way - it is quite much of pointers and they are reasonable.

Strangely enough, but there are many people (and it is a lot of them!),  who spend thier short rest on the south of Benitses - in Moraitika, in Messongi. Certainly, there it is necessary to pass cheap hotels, but sea is too warm, bottom is oozy, one have to walk 300 meters by sea for to swim. It is not clear for me.
