| When in a 1998 we were going for the first time in Greece, by checking the Internet sites, I have come to a conclusion that it is necessary to voyage on Islands of the Ionic sea, on the Corfu Island (Kerkira), having convinced on photos, that it is the most green Island of Greece. In addition it has appeared, that it is a unique Island in the Ionic sea, on which there is a direct charter airplane from Moscow. Such our choice was made in the year of our first travel on Corfu Island. It is necessary to tell still, that neither I, nor my wife then did not read the Jerald Durrel's book "My family and the other Animals " and, certainly, we did not know, that Corfu is the Island, where all necessarily come again, from times of Odisseus. This year we have took with ourselves the Durrel's book, and frequently we roared, reading its pieces aloud. Certainly, much around was changed: the dusty roads were covered with asphalt, in houses "remont" was made, the snakes, the beetles and turtles have hided somewhere, but the Greeks, Greeks have remained the sames, as so, however, the Englishmen. By arriving in a 1998 for a month, in a 1999 we have gone on 2 months, and in the 2000-th year have decided to go for 3 months. Now I receive the letters from the WWW simetimes that I like as though Russian Durrel, but, certainly, I understand, that it is not at all so - never I have not become to extrude snakes from silts by legs or to catch the beetles by myself as a target. Maybe, a kind of Russian Durrel my 3 years-old son will become, who is jumping out every morning on a balcony with shout "Iassu, Iannis! ", welcoming the Greek Iannis, the master of our house, the captain of the ship in Cape Town in his last life. This year, visiting by car the best resorts of Europe (Along "The Golden Ring" of Europe by car), we were convinced that the Corfu Island has remained one from a few places in Europe, where it is possible to have a rest to the person of "middle prosperity", the ones who can not afford for a month to rent 5-stars hotel. The just blue sea, the light-blue sky, the low mountains entirely covered with olive groves, cosy bay and beachs, small towns and villages, benevolent, cheerful, orthodox, by the way, Greeks - what still is necessary to relax kindly for?!
